MEMBERSHIP FEES "Active (Voting Member): Initiation fee of one third of stock price or $10,000, whichever is greater. Monthly dues--$250."
SALES PITCHES "We are making regular Social memberships more attractive. Initiation fee has been reduced from $10,000 to $5,000 until April 30, 1990. It is important for a club such as ours to continue to attract new members. We feel that the creation of the new Junior Social category along with improvements in the regular Social category will help us attract a steady stream of new members." (1989 note from Vincent M. Carter, membership chairman)

Memo from club president Michael Embry: "Our Club roster represents a very select mailing list frequently requested. Phoenix Country Club makes every effort to prevent its distribution to any nonmembers for any reason whatsoever. We hope that all members will afford our roster the same confidential treatment . . .
