Samaritan Wheelchair Suns: The stars of this National Wheelchair Basketball Association franchise are Sharon McCarthy, a member of the 1988 and 1992 U.S. Paralympic teams; Arizona State University student Ryan Martin, who's also a top-ranked wheelchair tennis player; and John Flowers, a former hoops star at Phoenix College. The Wheelchair Suns play the 12th annual "Big Wigs Versus Big Wheels" exhibition match against a team of Valley celebrities at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the gym at Mesa High School, 1630 East Southern. Tickets are $3, $1.50 for students and kids; proceeds go toward scholarships for students with disabilities. Call 644-3002.
