I saw the first half of To Die For October 2; then the print malfunctioned and the screening had to be called off. The next morning, I saw the remaining 40 minutes or so. Sandwiched between this inadvertent cliffhanger about celebrity and spousal murder, I heard the O.J. Simpson verdict read. The parallels between fact and fiction weren't precise, but the resonances were hard to miss. None dare call it satire.
