Bobby Parker: Parker backed Bo Diddley in the mid-Fifties, and Eric Clapton backed Parker in the late Sixties. The latter gig was facilitated by Parker's early-Sixties hit "Watch Your Step," which influenced an entire generation of British bluesicians. The Washington, D.C.-based guitarist, touring in support of hissecond Black Top album, Shine Me Up, performs at 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Rhythm Room, 1019 East Indian School. Cover is $5.
