Thomas Bopp: The Valley-based co-discoverer of Comet Hale-Bopp presents the keynote address at Arizona State University West's opening convocation, which also serves as the dedication ceremony for the new University-College Center, a collaborative effort between ASU West and Glendale Community College. The event starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, at La Sala on the ASU West campus, 4701 West Thunderbird in Glendale; admission is free, but RSVPs are requested by Monday, August 18; call 543-7787.
