Winding Down

Pollen bids adieu to Wind-Up Records over those pesky old artistic differences

Who's in town: Twenty-eight years after hooking up with a pretty fair Jamaican singer-songwriter named Bob Marley, the legendary Wailers carry on, with longtime members Aston "Family Man" Barrett on bass, Earl "Wia" Lindo on organ, Al Anderson on guitar, and Michael Richards on drums. They've added keyboardist Marty Batista and a new vocalist who goes by the name of "The Young Lion," and all reports are that this incarnation of the Wailers lives up to the band's considerable myth. The Wailers will be at Jackson Hole on Sunday, April 19, and it's a show that should not be missed by anyone with more than a passing interest in reggae.
