John Preece puts in his 1,000th performance as Tevye the Dairyman during the 35th-anniversary tour of Fiddler on the Roof, the Jerry Bock/Joe Stein/Sheldon Harnick musical based on Sholom Aleichem's Tevye's Daughters. The tour stops in the Valley for two performances, Wednesday, February 3; and Thursday, February 4, at the Sundome, 19403 R.H. Johnson Boulevard in Sun City West. Susan Goldwater kicks off this year's edition of the Arizona Historical Foundation lecture series named for her late husband with a talk about end-of-life care titled "No One Gets Out of Here Alive," at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, at Kerr Cultural Center, 6110 North Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale. The theme for this season of the Barry M. Goldwater Lecture Series is "Womanspeak." The lectures continue at the same time and venue every Wednesday, through March 17.
