"Summer Spectacular" Art Walk

In a touching effort to help the devoted art rats who turn out for the "Summer Spectacular" Art Walk stave off the heat, Coldwell Banker's Success Realty Concierge Services has erected a "Tunnel of Mist" to keep walkers cool between galleries on Scottsdale's Main Street, and China Mist Tea will offer free samples. Various openings, musical acts and related diversions are planned for this year's version of the annual midsummer night stroll, a special edition of Scottsdale Gallery Association's weekly art-walk series. The free event is slated for 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 8, on Main Street and Marshall Way in Scottsdale's downtown arts district. Among the openings are:

Lisa Sette Gallery: "Formerly Known As Something Else" features found-object or reconfigured-object works by more than a dozen artists, including Luis Cruz Azaceta, Kim Cridler and Steve Gompf. It continues through Saturday, September 25. Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays (and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursdays), noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays. 4142 North Marshall Way in Scottsdale. 480-990-7342.
