"If we played the auditorium on Friday and the civic center on Saturday, by Tuesday, you can get both gigs from the underground," Lora says. "They are selling tapes with a picture on the cover of the gig or the advertisement that the gig had, and if you were a fan, you would be interested in buying both, because they are not the same. They have different songs, they have different jokes" Lora fancies himself somewhat of a comedian as well as a rock star "and they have different attitudes, depending on what is happening at the gig. It changes depending on the fans' moods."
Despite the fact that the fans aren't necessarily contributing to El Tri's financial success, Lora and his mates continue to soldier on. This past July, they released No Te Olvides De La Banda(Don't Forget the Fans) and plan to continue touring throughout the year. Lora hopes to find enough studio time while juggling the demands of the road to lay down tracks for another record, to be released next year.
Lora reveals his plans for the long term as well. "We expect to be rocking at least two or three million years more," he says. "And try to communicate what the people feel and what the people want to say a lot better."
