A. It's hard to go wrong at Wright's in the Arizona Biltmore resort. The restaurant has a new sommelier, Barbara Werley, and with "master" status, she's one of only 51 people in the country with the honor.

Q. Okay, I'm cheap. But I still like a good meal out. Any thoughts?

A. Go to Giuseppe's Italian Kitchen at 28th Street and Camelback. Portions are huge, ingredients are fresh, and the most expensive dinner tops out at $8.95 (like pasta with smoked salmon and cream). Bonus: It's BYOB, with a corkage fee of just $3 per bottle.

Q. Do we have any Mobil 5-Star Award winners in the Valley?

A. The only restaurant to earn the coveted distinction for 2003 is Mary Elaine's at the Phoenician resort. Pretty much every one of our upscale resorts boasts a 4-Star Award-winning restaurant, though.
