Looking for a good time this weekend? For a smorgasbord of eclectic dance ferocity, check out the impressively titled diverCITY (City Sounds: Let the Music Move You) party happening on Friday, August 20, at the Clubhouse in Tempe. DJs Seduce, Phill, Jonny Ocean, and Melissa Laine will be throwing down a mix of deep house, down-tempo, techno, trance and tribal beats, and spoken-word luminary Mel-Boogie of Speak Street will play host. The cover's only five bucks, so get your ass out there and dance. -- Brendan Joel Kelley

Hot Pink's One-Year Anniversary
Packing downtown nightclub Boom since its very first night, Hot Pink celebrates a successful first year on Friday, August 20, with "Friday I'm in Love." Founder DJ Nimh will be in the house, playing a best-of set of all the electroclash, disco-punk, New Wave and rock tunes that get kids swinging from the stripper pole and steaming up the dance floor. Get there early and stay late -- time flies when you're having fun. -- Michele Laudig
