Terror.

It's a sensation we know all too well, especially during Halloween. Whether it's getting caught by the po-pos smashing a few dozen pumpkins or waking up on November 1 next to a paramour with a case of coyote ugly worth chawin' your arm off, we've felt the chill of our blood turning to ice.

Even worse, we've suffered the pains of many a past 'ween spent in skeevy dives, while our so-called-friends walked away from all the fly parties with some big cash from best costume contests.

Which is why we've pulled together a rundown of Halloween events, celebrations and happenings going down in the PHX, breaking it down by venue type and event start date.

Food and drink specials, prizes, costume contests, live entertainment -- it's all in here and it's all good. We may even slip you the names of a few joints where you can kick it long after last call. These ain't no cheap-ass haunted houses at the church social hall, with peeled grapes "eyeballs" and cold spaghetti "brains."

Since Allhallow's Eve falls on a weekend, you can let loose for three straight nights, and if you're a crafty cat, you can figure which fetes offer the best bling. It's just like back in your old school days when you picked out which houses had the mad treats. You just gotta know how to work the system, yo, and go home with a hottie on each arm and your friends have to catch the vapors.

Talk about your Halloweenies. -- Benjamin Leatherman
