Blowfly's Punk Rock Party is so filthy Tipper Gore might spontaneously combust if anyone ever played it for her. The original nasty rapper's new album is scandalous, obscene and hilarious. Blowfly, the 60-year-old pervert with a penchant for performing in shiny capes and masks, has been doing dirty for a while and has already produced parodies of rap, disco and oldies classics. So it isn't surprising that he's taking a stab at punk rock staples. The most amazing song on this album is a raunchy rendition of The Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go?" with jaw-dropping lyrics like "Should I fuck this big fat ho? I got a wallet full of rubbers/She's got panties full of blubber." The thing is, it's impossible not to get caught up in the music. The tunes are familiar and so well-performed that sometimes the obscenities coming from his mouth catch you off guard. He has legitimate musical talent — his alter ego, Clarence Reid, his written songs for the likes of K.C. and the Sunshine Band and Betty White. Go figure. But it's the shock value of his potty mouth and his absurd fashion sense that make him so much fun and such a spectacle.
