An ugly guy could do a whole lot worse than to surround himself with half-dressed hot chicks — one of whom breathes fire — if he's looking for attention in an underground scene swimming in ugly guys putting a punk-rock spin on AC/DC's greatest hits. Stick "Pussy" in the band name and you could be set for life, right? That's how Nashville Pussy, whose name comes from Ted Nugent's Double Live Gonzo!, did it. Formed in 1998 by ugly guy Blaine Cartwright, his sexy guitar-hero wife Ruyter Suys, and bassist Corey Parks, Nashville Pussy showed enough promise (and cleavage) to pull in a Grammy nod for their first album, Let Them Eat Pussy(quickly followed by an EP titled Eat More Pussy), and, amazingly, survived the loss of the statuesque yet busty Parks, who pulled out two years later. Last year, Get Some found them working a fourth bassist into the mix while playing to their strengths on tracks like "Pussy Time" and "Hell Ain't What It Used to Be." Said Cartwright, "I want to get back to kicking ass in America, 'cause America needs its ass kicked."
