No Flash, No Flash Gordon

UFO-hunting shutterbugs display the fright stuff

On March 13, 1997, thousands of witnesses saw a mysterious light formation hovering over the Valley. Local residents were terrified. Was this a supersecret military craft or were we about to become victims of anal probes? Find out more at the "Alien Images: UFOs, Photography and Belief" exhibit, a visual survey of unexplained sightings from 1870 to today. “I have no problems believing that mysterious things happen in the world,” says installation curator Scott Murphy. “I just don’t think leaping to conclusions is the best thing.” Well, we could believe the “official” explanation that the lights were just military flares. Blinking flares that move in unison. Uh-huh.
