The 2006 effort, narrated by Meryl Streep, was originally slated to showcase the stunning beauty of southern Louisiana and its vanishing wetlands. Then, the natural disaster struck and the film’s direction shifted to capturing rescue and recovery tales told by four renowned musicians (Allen Toussaint, Tab Benoit, Amanda Shaw, and Chubby Carrier).
