Beware the Jabberwock, my son, not to mention the Jubjub bird, the sneaky Snark, or any of the other boojumed bizarrities that will surely journey Through the Looking Glass for Tis Brillig, on Saturday, October 20, at the Starlight Room, 16737 East Parkview Avenue, in Fountain Hills. Dubbed by organizers as "a cosplay wonderland," the Lewis Carrollian dance event features sets by such Mad Hatter-like mixmasters as the inovative electronic and synth artist Skylab2000, trance turntablist DJ Imagine, and happy hardcore spinstress DJ Skye. The lineup also includes house music from Joe DiPadova, drum 'n' bass by DJ Quentin, psybreaks from K-System, and sets by Qwik and Miss Vanilla Sugar. Unique Alice-themed alcoholic concoctions will also be available for consumption during a special "Mad Tea" (natch), starting at 11 p.m. Doors open at 9 p.m. and admission prices vary. Visit www.tisbrillig.com for ticket info.
