Tony Carrillo used to push tin -- you know, those tarmac hustlers who use the little orange sticks, waving in planes after landing. You’d need a sense of humor for a job like that, so it figures that Carrillo’s landed a more fitting gig as creator of New Times Best Syndicated Cartoon F Minus. Like those airplanes, the 'toon -- which The Wall Street Journal called “slightly subversive” because of its humor, which is as dry as the low desert -- has taken off with syndication in 125 papers internationally.
