As long as the production of hallucinogenic drugs and electronic music continues, raving will ensue. For those who dig the beats, but not the candy necklace/pacifier/glowstick culture, the Faux Show fellas present “THE M*TH*RF*CK*NG RAVE IS OVER” -- an evening of live turntable action starring the notorious Wes Pentz, a.k.a. Diplo, a.k.a. Diplodocus. Best known for producing some of M.I.A.’s hottest tracks and engineering official remixes for artists such as Bloc Party, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Le Tigre, Diplo hits the Valley for the first time to share his tremendous mix of electronica, reggae, and psychedelia. The DJ, along with a live backup band and special guests, drops beats at the Valley’s hottest new venue, AREA Phoenix at the 18-and-over event.
