I don't know what the big thrill is about this place. Everyone is always raving about this place and I don't get it. I have eaten here on a few occassions and although it is not bad nor terrible, it really is nothing secial. ( Not as good as Az88 where the owner used to work) Although I admit they used to have these Monday night specials with a great meatloaf and fried chicken!. If they still have that then go for it. Other things I have ordered were just regular sandwiches. Exepnsive and nothing fancy. The food is not all that great. Maybe I am ordering the wrong thing here. ( At lest the meals I have had were just average) I went here one time with a friend and was very disturbed that they charged ma a split plate fee. I know from working in restaurants that some restaurants do that as a standard at dinnertime .However, it is not standard I never even heard of it (even in NY restaurants) nor do I think appropriate at lunchtime. They also did not tell me ahead of time they were doing it( Another unheard of event) and it was not on the menu at that time. ( Maybe it is now, I don't know)Also the only thing they split were fries and a hamburger. Most restaurants charge split plate fees because of the difficulty process/extra work. I hardly think it is that hard for a hamburger and fries. I could have cut it myself. I know it is probably unfair on my part but that whole thign prettty much keft me turned off to the place. I am not cheap and I would have gladly paid for the service since I was sick and was just getting back into eating but I felt it was sneaky not telling me ahead of time. My feiend was disturbed as well.
