It’s oft-times impossible to marinate our ears to all of the talented bands out there. That’s why the “Influences” section on MySpace is so important, and the first column of text that we tend to look at before checking out the downloadable tunes. When we visited the music page for The Dead Science (www.myspace.com/thedeadscience), we fell in love with the Seattle-based band because it lists John Coltrane, Arvo Pärt, Talking Heads, Wu-Tang Clan, and Prince as persuasions. (Holy crap. Seriously, all of those musical acts are easily in our top 100.)
