Unforgettable Ire

If creating earworms was a crime (and God knows it should be), then both Chicago and their 70s hitmaker counterparts the Doobie Brothers would be multiple-time offenders. Admit it: Every time you’ve heard Michael McDonald sing “What a Fool Believes,” or Peter Cetera crooning out “You’re the Inspiration,” chances are either song will be rattling around in your brain pan for the next few hours (if not days). The Doob’s are also guilty as charged for coming up with the seemingly-unforgettable “Jesus Is Just Alright” and “China Grove,” while Chicago should hang for conjuring up “Stay the Night” and “Along Comes A Woman.” So it’s only the natural that both bands (who’ve long since jettisoned Cetera and McDonald, respectively) are touring together this summer. We’re betting it’ll be a memorable experience, one that concertgoers won’t be able to forget (even if they tried).
