R&B/hip-hop spinners tempt humps to bump

By Benjamin Leatherman

Published on July 03, 2008

With House M.D., American Idol, and Dancing With the Stars on hiatus until the fall, your Tuesday nights have pretty much been free . . . and filled with boredom. But instead of suffering through reruns and insipid summertime programming, sweeten things up with a heavy dose of hip-hop and R&B at Sugar Tuesday. The recently opened PHX Nightclub hosts the crackalackin weekly affair, which features DJs Kaydee and M2 running the party on the one’s and two’s and dropping jams from Kanye, Biggie, and other ghetto-fab superstars to get your humps to bump on the dance floor. There’s $5 Ciroc and Hennessy until 11p.m., with other drink specials available all night. Dress-to-impress rules apply.
