Pretty good review. Glad to hear you say something nice about a Judd Apatow-Seth Rogen comedy. Despite your criticisms of some of their previous efforts, namely "Superbad" and "Knocked Up", these movies have some pretty histerically funny lines. For example, in Superbad, the drunk on the bus comes up with a memorable line that my teenage son has memorized and we both laugh our butts off to: "Hey, it's you...McMuffin," the drunk tells McLovin, aka Fogle. That film has several great lines. Try watching it while sober.
As for "Knocked Up", there were several poignant scenes, including the one with Leslie Mann and Katherine Heigl at the nigh club when they try to get in and get pushed to the back of the line by the line leader. When you get past the premise that a gorgeous blonde (Heigl) is willing to have any relationship at all with Rogen's Ben Stone is pretty far-fetched, it's a pretty good flick.
I'm looking forward to seeing "Pineapple Express" as is my son. It'll be a nice change for Franco's "Harry Osborne" from the Spidey flicks.
