Kudos to the Pac-10 conference for scheduling meaningful division games in August and September, including last week's Oregon State-Stanford tilt and a bitter-rivalry contest between Oregon and Washington. What do you have to say to that, Texas Tech (Eastern Washington, at Nevada, SMU, UMass) and LSU (Appalachian State, Troy, North Texas)? Yep, pathetic and embarrassing.
The Arizona State Sun Devils football match-up against division foe the Stanford Cardinal at Sun Devil Stadium will most likely feature a heavily favored home team. Many prognosticators, including us, feel that the Jim Harbaugh-led Cardinal squad wont finish any better than eighth place. But a conference game is a conference game, and you can never take such tussles for granted, you know? (Remember last years biggest college-football upset of all time, when Stanford beat USC?)
