In case you havent heard, the cats behind the instant-film enterprise are only making enough consumer product to last through the end of 2009. Theres a chance that the technology will be sold to another company, but theres also the possibility that Polaroid completely dies.
Either way, were in sweet denial. We heart Polaroid, and firmly believe that its impermanent. How else to explain the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art-organized Community Polaroid Project, where folks can exchange all sorts of little square photos with other peeps? The event takes place in conjunction with Pedro Meyer's Heresies exhibition at SMoCA.
