Tennis overachiever speaks out

Remember when you thought you could change the world? When former tennis superstar Billie Jean King was 5 years old, she told her mom, “I’m going to do something great with my life.” That she did, as King grew up to win 20 Wimbledon titles, best tennis pro Bobby Riggs in the famed “Battle of the Sexes,” and become a feminist icon for championing equal treatment (and pay!) for men and women in the sport. (Though, when Venus Williams won Wimbledon in 2005, she took home 50 grand less than men’s champion Roger Federer. Sigh. Guess Billie Jean’s still got some work to do.)

The chronic overachiever who was named one of the 100 most important Americans of the 20th century by Life will offer tips for success and sign her new book, Pressure Is a Privilege.
