New parents who say they’d love their kid to grow up to be the next Picasso obviously weren’t paying attention during their high school years. Football players get hot-cheerleader girlfriends and college scholarships. Scrawny art geeks get their heads stuck in toilets. Some go Columbine on their peers; others, like L.A. painter Andrew Brandou, express themselves through their art. Check out Brandou’s latest works in the “Andrew Brandou and the Art Dorks” exhibition.

Brandou, a member of the soon-to-be-defunct Art Dorks online collective (this is their last show), paints adorable bunnies straight out of Brer Rabbit – well, except for those bloody footprints and cartoon carcasses littering the background. Earlier works included a “Sniper Bunny” plush toy popular with Manson disciples and an animated depiction of Jonestown. Still hope you spawned an art dork? Might want to start saving cash for those therapy bills now.

Thursdays-Sundays. Starts: Nov. 7. Continues through Nov. 30, 2008
