To you, “label whore” is a term of endearment. Your purse dogs are named Gucci, Versace, and Vuitton. We needed Sex and the City to educate us about Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahnik, but you learned to speak fluent Prada before you hit middle school. Well, dear fashionista, November is finally here, and you’ve already made the most important decision of the year. No, not which candidate to vote for (Barack who?), but whose designer kicks you’ll be sporting at the Scottsdale Fashion Week Runway Shows. This year’s event features more than 30 showcases on two catwalks, including bridal couture, designs by local Angela Johnson, and the unveilings of Dillard’s and Nordstrom’s seasonal collections. Zang Toi, closing designer at this year’s New York Fashion Week, will make a first-time appearance at SFW to introduce his 2009 spring line. Excited yet?
