"These are the people in your neighborhood/The people that you meet when you're walking down the street/They're the people that you meet each daaaay!"

(Pardon us.)

So goes the catchy Sesame Street ditty, a happy tune that could've easily been written for Conspire, the collectively owned and operated spot that will celebrate a year of existence on Saturday, November 15, during the Conspire One-Year Anniversary Block Party.

Equal parts boutique, coffeehouse, community library, and gathering place, Conspire – located in the heart of the Roosevelt Row ’hood at 901 North Fifth Street – houses an overwhelming array of handmade goods, jewelry, clothes, art, and local music. This all-inclusive approach is echoed in the collective's festive throwdown, which will feature a fashion show, live music and performances, DJs, an art market, silkscreen and stencil workshops, and plenty of kids’ activities to keep the hive buzzing.
