In August, Leesa Irwin, mother of former New Times staff writer Megan Irwin, was involved in a car accident that killed her husband and left the surviving spouse with not only life-threatening injuries, but also mountains of medical bills. Local bands, DJs, friends of the Irwins, and overall good people will gather at the Rhythm Room for the Leesa Irwin Benefit Show. Bands scheduled to perform include Dakota Jeane, Black Carl, What Laura Says, Dry River Yacht Club, and Sean Brennan and the Yellow Minute. The minimum suggested donation is $8.
