Problem is, your car has carved a groove from your driveway to the local mall. You’re like a fancy lab rat in an overpriced cage, and we’re here to bust you out. First, let’s try a more tasteful six-letter word: “unique,” which is what you’ll find at the Green Holiday Arts Festival. The indie sale features singular goods, from jewelry to tie-dye to folk art, handcrafted with Earth-friendly processes. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 13, at Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, 6400 West Del Rio Street in Chandler. Admission is free. Call 480-899-4249. Better yet, combine “unique” with “vintage” at the Phoenix Antique Market. The largest single gathering of resellers in the state convenes at the Arizona State Fairgrounds, 1826 West McDowell Road, for the much-anticipated holiday sale of memorabilia, ephemera, and just plain cool old shit.
