I am an avid fan of New Times. I read the article on Medic Droid today and as a mother of two teens, ages 16 and 18 I chose this topic at the dinner table to get a take on my son's awreness of Medic Droid and the song "Fer Sure". I just thought local guys, local scene and with the level of popularity I wanted to get their take on it. No wonder any straight teen even in a red state like Phoenix is not enamored with them. They screamed gay and bailed on the download. I had to listen on my own after they stormed out of the room. I equate this to the Doors and Stones fans (of which my sons happen to be, even in the new millinumium). They know good music when they hear it and this is not it. To equate these confused individuals with Iggy is a travesty. It's like Disco vs. Real Rock all over again. The Emos will all gorw up eventually and hopefully these boys/girls will grow into real men someday.
