Run organizers pour on the eye and ear candy
Cardinal rule No. 1: Distractions rule. Why? Because they make life soooo much easier. If the girlfriend is on your ass about the communication problem in the relationship, what do you do? No, you don’t talk to her, you head to the bar and drink.
Distractions rule with exercise, too, especially with P.F. Chang’s Rock ’n’ Roll Arizona Marathon & 1/2 Marathon. Sure, participants had to do a lot of training and stuff, but the run itself will be a bit easier thanks to all the eye and ear candy for runners and spectators, including cheerleaders and more than 60 live bands, which culminates with a free post-race performance by Smash Mouth at Tempe Beach Park.
