Give the public a little credit: we absolutely know what tragedies occurred. It's a given. If you intend to analyze or complain about the fact that Valkyrie is the nth Nazi/Holocaust film, certainly do not then assume that we know not the victims of these events, nor believe that we have forgotten about their roles even in their absence of of the film. It's interesting to see more perspectives of a commonly understood storyline (based on an actual events), and Defiance and Valkyrie lend just that. Certainly there ought to be grievances toward other current films that would be less trivial.
