Bauhaus CallGoth-rock co-founder spins at Shake!By Clay McNearPublished on January 21, 2009 at 4:03amThere may be nothing new under the sun, but back in late 1978, four skinny British kids named David Haskins, Kevin Haskins, Peter Murphy, and Daniel Ash cooked up something totally unprecedented beneath the Northampton gloom. The band was Bauhaus. The foreboding, atmospheric sound was eventually dubbed gothic rock. Music and fashion have never been the same. Guitarist Ash, who went on to co-found the crossover acts Tones on Tail and Love and Rockets following Bauhaus original demise in 83, makes a pit stop to spin some discs at DJ William Fucking Reeds Shake! Motherfucking Dance Party. Sat., Jan. 24, 2009
