Jazz stars revisit tunes from the best jazz label ever

In 1939, before Capitol and Motown, some fine fellows named Alfred Lion, Max Margulis, and Francis Wolff started a little jazz label. Blue Note, as it was called, continues to crank out hits by unforgettable artists, ranging from Thelonious Monk and Clifford Brown to Madlib and Norah Jones. On Wednesday, January 28, drummer Lewis Nash, saxophonist Ravi Coltrane, and all sorts of current jazz big-timers will reinterpret some of the most infamous hits produced and released by the seminal jazz label during the Blue Note Records 70th Anniversary Tour.
