Murder. Scandal. Black-ops. Military profiteering. Fraud. Bribery. Beltway blackmail. Hmmm, you’d think author Len Downie Jr. had written a secret history of the past two presidential administrations in his debut novel, The Rules of the Game. In a way, he has. The gripping read is an end product of the 17 years Downie served as executive editor of the Washington Post. Taking over for the great Ben Bradlee, Downie came in with Clinton and stepped down in September – the dusk of Dubya. He introduces and signs the insider-esque book at this event.
