The Devil may or may not go down to Georgia on Friday, March 27, but he’d better steer clear of Chester’s Harley-Davidson in Mesa. That’s where his fiddling rival and fellow right-winger Charlie Daniels will be rocking out during Chester’s Backstage Biker Bash III, the opening salvo of the 13th annual Arizona Bike Week. The hearty partying starts at 2 p.m. at Chester’s, 922 South Country Club Drive, with Daniels and band set to go on at 8.

The two-wheeled revelry rolls on at various locations throughout the Valley through April 5, with a daily schedule of music, parties, rides for fun and/or charity, pretexts for women to appear in skimpy clothing, and other such red-blooded pursuits. “Pre-Rally Days” events run through Tuesday, March 31, while the big confab known as CycleFest runs April 1 through 5 at WestWorld of Scottsdale.

Chester’s is also host of the Miss Arizona Bike Week Pageant at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 28. The Trifecta Custom Bike Show and Blowout at Steel Horse Saloon, 1818 West Bell Road, goes down beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 29. A daily breakfast social is planned at El Dorado Bar & Grill, 8708 East McDowell Road in Scottsdale.
