It’s good to have a mission. Some people save kittens, other people build dwellings for the homeless. Then there’s private investigator Doris Delaney, the main character of Dial “S” for Stripper, who works to protect the floozies of run-down Butts’ Cabaret.

In the Artists’ Theatre Project production, written by local Kevin Frei, strippers get caught up in mysterious and gruesome circumstances that leave beautiful bodies maimed or dead. Enter Delaney, who must use her Southern wiles to get the locals talking before the town is tapped out of its stripper supply. Mix in the character of detective George Magumbo, who constantly throws monkey wrenches into Delaney’s investigation, and you’ll discover how difficult this dame’s duty is.

See the sexy mystery unfold at Soul Invictus Gallery & Cabaret.
