What do you think of when someone mentions Brazil? If you say Terry Gilliam, the filmmaker of the flick with the same name, then shut up, because you’re a big nerd. You should be thinking about ass, ass, and more ass (no explanation needed).

If you happen to be in Scottsdale on Friday, April 24, you can shake that ass to South American música during Bossa Nova Lounge. Afro:Baile Records presents the celebration of Brazilian culture, music, art, and fashion every other Friday. It features samba, Brazilian jazz, funk, and electronica spins by DJ Seduce, who’s a master of getting the club hopping. Tonight’s edition also features drink specials and live painting by Sabrina Peros, a Phoenix-based artist whose works delight the eye with vibrant colors and stark contrasts.
