Here’s the punchline: The fellow of Polish ancestry, being proud of his heritage, took his pals to the Polish Festival. The sixth annual event features folk dancing, music, crafts, and a kids’ area. For many of us, however, the real attraction is the mouth-watering cuisine -- various types of pierogi, of course, but also golabki (cabbage rolls), nalesniki (cottage cheese crepes), bigos (stew), kiszka (pig-blood sausage), and plenty of beer.
