Shizz Prom 2009: An Enchanted Evening on Mars crosses the frivolity of cavorting unicorns with the heat and lust of the Red Planet. Says Shizz executive director Donald Martinez of the cheeky event, “It should be a pretty colorful evening. And the hairstyles . . . wow.” The wearing of original prom attire is approved, any decade. With a King and Queen election, free couple photos (not unlike the staged wicker chair of yesteryear), and DJ Mig50 spinning ’80s dance-rock tunes all night long, we can’t think of a better way to relive our two shots at glory.
