Thank goodness Conspire, one of our favorite coffee shops and hang-out spots, is reviving the normally comatose downtown Wednesday nights.

The Conspire Open Mic outside features local wordsmiths and folk musicians, including Michelle Blades, a ukulele-strumming songstress who will take your breath away. (Heavy-hitting visual artist Mike Little sometimes sits in on saw.) And, Robyn Kingsley runs Free Blanket Phoenix, a cloak filled with free goodies to take and/or trade.
