If you ever were to start a fight with someone, make sure it’s not with Jay Dobyns.

In 1987, Dobyns – a former UofA football standout, law enforcement agent, and one of the baddest mofos around – took a burning slug to the chest while on duty as an ATF agent. End of career, right?

Wrong. He continued inserting himself into high-risk undercover missions, leading to his appointment as chief infiltrator of the Hells Angels, which he documents in his book No Angel: My Harrowing Undercover Journey to the Inner Circle of the Hells Angels. In true memoir fashion, there’s a story within the haunting story, as the book chronicles Dobyns’ struggles to keep his family in one piece as well as his peace of mind.

One badass dude, we’re telling you.

Dobyns reads from and signs copies of his chilling tome at Barnes & Noble at Desert Ridge Marketplace.
