Phoenix doesn’t really suck. It’s just sometimes difficult to find things to be prideful about in this relatively new desert abode some one million people call home.

One of best things about the PHX, aside from The Wallace and Ladmo Show and rattlesnake on the barbie, is Arizona Highways. It’s been with us since 1925, and anyone who’s been around these parts has thumbed through the killer monthly mag looking at awesome photos or planning a cool AZ getaway. For anyone who hearts the Grand Canyon State, be sure to hit up the Arizona Highways Travel Show, a two-day shindig featuring off-the-beaten-path hiking experts, presentations by Arizona historians, and photography workshops.

The expo takes place in Hall F at Phoenix Convention Center.
