Best dumb movie ever made? Maybe. Best mindless summer movie of all time? It's not even close. The 1978 leather-and-lace romp starring John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, and Stockard Channing (who went on to pull down a seven-year stint as the First Lady on The West Wing) had us groaning on the floor in actual pain on its original release, but it's the rare '70s flick that's aged well relative to its original intent: ankle-deep fun with a catchy soundtrack and arching star turns by its leads. (The prissy Newton-John in bone-tight leather kickin' Travolta's ass around the carnival in "You're the One That I Want"? Faggeddaboudit.)
