Well never forget the time our college art professor sent us Dumpster-diving for supplies. Two cracked frames, a dozen food wrappers, and a moldy banana peel later, we had a piece of art that looked (and smelled) like a trash can. Somehow, local artist Angela Cazel Jahn doesnt suffer from the same problem. I retreat to my studio and take up leftover construction materials like drywall and house paint, found objects, junk that sparkles, obsolete books, X-Acto knives, and little bits of paper, says Cazel Jahn. Her Dumpster finds are transformed into snazzy, resin-coated collages, which you can see at the closing reception for her current Idea Series exhibit at eye lounge.
