Veterans’ Memorial Coliseum hasn't been "The Madhouse on McDowell" since the Phoenix Suns outgrew it in 1992. What better league to kick back open the cuckoo's nest than the hip-swaying, trigger-tempered Arizona Derby Dames, who’ve moved into the cavernous Vet after selling out all of their games last season at the Castle Sports Club? According to AZDD media director Andrea Beesley-Brown, a.k.a. The Kamikaze Kiwi, the Dames have added national legitimacy and beaucoup seats in one fell swoop. “It's the largest venue for roller derby in the world," Beesley-Brown tells New Times. The Dames continue Season Four with some sick chick-on-chick action at the Vet. A free, 21-and-over postparty follows at nearby George & Dragon English Restaurant & Pub, 4240 North Central Avenue.
