While ninjas and robots will always be dear to our hearts – and zombies are white-hot right now – the sun hasn't completely gone down on pirates.

If you're still digging the eye patches and peg legs, you might want to splash around with the Pirates on the Salt River today when Salt River Tubing & Recreation teams up with the Tonto National Forest as part of National Get Outdoors Day. The effort seeks to have folks break up with their televisions (or at least shun them for a day) while enjoying the great outdoors. The first 500 mateys in costume who delve into the recreational hijinks get $5 off tube rental. Sounds like arrrr kind of deal.
